Job overview
We are looking for a hands-on person who takes pride in developing useful, innovative and scalable web applications and services. Your main tasks will be to work with our technology team to develop new features and functionality and continually improve existing parts of our booking service network. You will take an active part in coming up with new ideas, and discussing specifications and implementation approaches. You can work independently if needed but you are also a strong team player. You will be part of a small but focused and highly experienced team of senior web architects and developers.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to and review requirements and specifications
- Provide estimates and identify risks for future tasks and projects
- Translate requirements/specifications into innovative and scalable technical designs
- Contribute to advancing the team’s design methodology and practices
- Fix bugs to existing services, software and applications
- Maintain effective source control
- Keep up to date with new developments and proactively suggest improvements regarding technology, standards, best practices

Required skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in
- .NET 3.5 C#, LINQ, ASP.NET 2, ASP.NET MVC
- Web services, WCF, WSDL, XML, XML Schema
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, T-SQL, Stored Procedures
- Effective testing practices, e.g. unit tests, continuous integration, etc.
- Working with agile processes, such as SCRUM or XP

Required skills / education
- Solid understanding of software design and development practices
- Solid understanding of web design and web development involving JavaScript/AJAX, accessible HTML layout using structured markup and stylesheets
- Computer science degree preferred
- Fluent English
- Ability to work in a multicultural and agile environment
