Livebookings, the European leader in real-time reservations and online marketing services for restaurants, today announces that it has been singled out in the exclusive “Ones to Recognise” category in the annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 published this weekend.
Livebookings continues to dominate the European online reservations space, with record growth over its nearest competitor by more than 40 per cent. The company has increased its revenues by offering an innovative, flexible and competitively-priced service to restaurants; while also successfully building its consumer business by offering innovative solutions aimed at satisfying growing consumer demand for mobile and online reservations.
During the past year, Livebookings has pursued an accelerated growth strategy with the goal of achieving global market leadership status. In the quarter ending June 2011 the number of diners who booked via its platform grew 100 per cent to 2.6m, compared to the same period in 2010. Likewise, Bookatable, Livebookings’ consumer restaurant reservations website, is the fastest growing in its category in Europe, with close to 700,000 visitors a month and 163 per cent year on year growth. The company has now processed over 20m covers since 2006, making Livebookings the European market leader for restaurant reservations.
Through its scalable SaaS solutions and web-based marketing technology, the company delivers more restaurant availability to consumers and helps restaurateurs to fill their tables as well as grow their business. Livebookings also developed a revolutionary mobile platform, Pocket Diner, to help restaurateurs respond to growing consumer demand for booking on the move. In the consumer space, the recently-launched Bookatable Dining Deals platform enables Livebookings’ restaurants to offer high-quality dining experiences, as opposed to bargain-hunters only looking for low-cost deals.
The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 accolade follows on from Livebookings’ selection as a Finalist in the Red Herring Top 100 Europe earlier this year.
