Livebookings reveals London Restaurant Festival partnership

04 April 2011

The capital’s restaurants are set to receive a boost after Livebookings, the leading global reservations and marketing service for restaurants, and the London Restaurant Festival today announced a two year partnership. The deal sees Livebookings’ consumer restaurant reservation website, Bookatable, selected over Toptable as the exclusive online reservations partner for the Festival.

The London Restaurant Festival is a city-wide celebration of eating out which began in 2009 and is designed to raise the profile of the City’s restaurants. Last year more than 550 restaurants took part serving more than 20,000 menus. There were also pop-up restaurants from industry experts including Jason Atherton, Bistrotheque and Masterchef.

Livebookings has relationships with leading UK restaurants while its consumer facing brand, Bookatable gives diners the ability to make restaurant reservations in real-time. Together, they have a long list of credentials in generating covers and knowledge in targeting consumers through online marketing, so are well placed to support the Festival.

Colin Tenwick, CEO of Livebookings, said: “The London Restaurant Festival is a fantastic initiative which provides huge support for the restaurant industry by encouraging more people to experience and enjoy our capital’s thriving restaurant scene. We’re delighted to be the exclusive online reservations partner of the Festival, and we can give the restaurants that take part greater access to the huge community that searches for and books restaurants online. We want to help make the London Restaurant Festival one of the capital’s great events.”

The Festival is run by Evening Standard restaurant critic Fay Maschler and her business partner Simon Davis. Fay Maschler says: “We set up the Festival to celebrate the excellence of the capital’s restaurants and we feel that our partnership with Livebookings will provide invaluable support in bringing more restaurants on board. We also want to make the restaurants that take part easily accessible to the largest number of people possible and believe that Bookatable is going to be a great way to achieve that”.
