Livebookings, the European leader in real-time reservations and online marketing services for restaurants, seated a record number of diners in December, generating £21 million worth of business for the restaurant industry. Livebookings processed just over 1.4 million covers in December, representing 80 per cent growth year on year, reaffirming its European market leading position in the real time online marketing and booking space:
• Livebookings seated 11.3 million diners globally in 2011
• 3.5 million of those covers were delivered in Q4 2011, equating to £52.5 million worth of business that was delivered to restaurants
• The level of diners seated in December (1.4 million) has generated £21 million for the restaurant industry*

The December success comes at the close of a record breaking year for Livebookings, which saw it top one million covers in a month for the first time in March, and manage its 20 millionth cover in September.
