Restaurant Industry Experts to Help Boost Bookings in Manchester
12 May 2010
Livebookings hosts Academy Event in Manchester, where speakers from Sugarvine and Livebookings explain how restaurants can increase bookings through online marketing.
Online restaurant marketing expert, Livebookings, is holding its first Academy in Manchester on 8th June. The event will give attendees advice on the essential online marketing tools to help them attract new customers.
Those in attendance will also learn about how to turn their website into a profit generating machine, the basics of social media such as Twitter and how to use 3rd party websites such as Manchester based company Sugarvine, to get optimum exposure for their restaurant. At the end of the event, there will be opportunities to talk with others working within the industry and put questions to the speakers.
Livebookings enables real-time, online reservations on restaurant websites and helps restaurants to access customers that would otherwise be difficult to reach through a global network of partners, such as lastminute.com, 118 118, Sugarvine, Bookatable.com and Restaurants of Manchester. Livebookings works with restaurants in 23 countries including Strada, Carluccio’s, Gordon Ramsay Holdings, Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park, KRO and Radisson Edwardian Manchester among many.
Speakers at the session include Andrew Blyth at Sugarvine and Magnus Hultburg, Strategic Advisor for Livebookings.
Olivia FitzGerald, Livebookings UK and Ireland General Manager, says: “A restaurant often underestimates the power of the internet. As the most inexpensive and measurable marketing tool available today, email marketing can build the brand of a restaurant, improve customer loyalty and boost bottom line profits by increasing booking levels. This Academy aims to help restaurateurs understand the importance of online marketing, and will offer some tricks and techniques to help generate covers.”
The Academy event takes place as Livebookings continues to grow in the Manchester area, with David Charlton recently being appointed Sales Manager for the North. Charlton will be responsible for generating new sales and joins from Ramada hotels.
